CS Tax & Asset Management Solutions November 20, 2014

UltraTax CS iconWe take the security of your client’s sensitive information seriously. As a result, 2014 UltraTax CS now offers you and your clients more robust security. You can now easily mask the following confidential information on your clients’ returns when printing to paper or creating a PDF copy.

  • Social Security Number (SSN) / Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Bank account numbers

To customize which confidential tax return information is masked, choose Setup > Office Configuration and click the Print Options tab. Here you can choose to mask SSNs/PTINs, EINs, or bank numbers, or a combination thereof.

Note: UltraTax CS requires you to enable the masking feature for at least one of these items.

You can choose to print the Client copy and/ or the Preparer copy with masked fields via the File > Print Returns dialog. UltraTax CS will place asterisks over all but the last 4 digits of the SSNs, PTINs, EINs, and bank account numbers.
