Taxpayers in Fallon County who experienced either personal or business property damage or loss from the tornado on June 11, 2016 may qualify and apply for a natural disaster tax relief. Natural disaster tax relief also includes damages or loss from a flood or wildfire. Property owners who incur damage or loss from a natural disaster may also qualify for an income tax deduction. Taxpayers have until December 31, 2016 to apply for relief using Form AB-25 “Natural Disaster Application”. This form is available from local offices and online. Property owners can also obtain replacement copies of documentation lost during the natural disaster by contacting the Montana Department of Revenue at 1-866-859-2254.
