Oregon — Exemptions Repealed and Revised

A new bill passed in Oregon does the following:

  • Repeals a few rarely-used property tax exemptions, beginning on or after July 1, 2017.
  • Creates regular deadlines for property tax exemption program applications
  • Eradicates the application requirement for property owned by the state or federal government, Indians, or Indian tribe where leased, subleased or possession allowed to a state or federal government or tribe.
  • Creates 10-year provisions for the nonprofit low income housing exemption and vertical housing exemption programs.

Montana — 2013 Class 12 Property Tax Rate

For 2013, the Class 12 property tax rate has changed from 3.45% to 3.39%.
