California Cities Introduce Sales Tax Holidays In December

 Two cities in California, Fresno and Sanger, have sales tax holidays in mind during the last quarter of 2011.  In Fresno, 30 retailers are offering a 20% discount card between November 18th through December 11th to promote local shopping.  In Sanger, the Mayor is proposing an exemption from the 1.75% city sales tax on December 3rd and 4th.  The Sanger City Council is will be voting this Thursday on whether to participate in this holiday.
