December Sales And Use Rate Changes

Indirect Tax, ONESOURCE, Sales and Use Tax November 28, 2011

As we enter the final month of 2011, we can begin to notice a great majority of US states prepping for the changes effective in 2012. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few items to note effective 1 December 2011. Some of those items are as follows:

Rate Changes

Alabama: Alabaster 4.0%
Alaska: Nunapitchuk 4.0% (effective 14 December 2011)
Arizona: La Paz County 1.5%

Sales Tax Holiday

Sitka, Alaska: This jurisdiction recently approved a sales tax holiday on all purchases of tangible personal property, excluding fuel products, from 25 November 2011 through 26 November 2011. Please contact the city of Sitka for more details.
