North Carolina Eliminates Sales Tax Holiday

Indirect Tax, ONESOURCE, Sales and Use Tax June 20, 2013

North Carolina Senate passed a preliminary tax reform on Monday, June 17, 2013 which would allow taxpayers to benefit from a lower tax rate all year long not just during a weekend sales tax holiday. This new plan would allow families to purchase food without paying sales tax and it would lower the state income tax rate.
