Ohio Asks for Full SSUTA Membership

200px-Seal_of_Ohio.svg_Ohio Governor John Kasich signed an executive order on 9 July 2013 directing the Tax Commissioner to take the necessary steps to apply to the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Governing Board for full Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Project membership. The state of Ohio became an associate member of the Streamlined Sales Tax Project on 1 October 2005. Ohio’s origin sourcing rules for intrastate sales had prevented the state from applying for full membership until last year.
