Pine Bluff Business Owners, Beware

Indirect Tax, ONESOURCE, Sales and Use Tax January 15, 2013

peacockPine Bluff business owners are about to see a crack down if they continue to avoid paying their full amount of Advertising & Promotions Taxes (also known as Hamburger Tax), to the tune of $500 a day.  These revenues have been funding the city Convention Center and marketing since the 1970’s, but recent figures show about 5% of local businesses are not paying what they owe, with the largest delinquent amount for one business being $60,o00.  The Pine Bluff Advertising & Promotion Commission Executive Director Bob Purvis is leading the charge on this proposal, which will not go into effect until 2013 should it pass.
