Understanding the Current State of Your Audit Practice
What is the current state of your audit practice? Do you have the right people, process and planning components in place? We will help you define the baseline of where you are today, which helps establish where you need to head tomorrow.
Develop a Mindset Change
Learn how to successfully develop a mindset change for the future-ready firm. We’ll examine shifts in our profession, in addition to other well-known industries, and look at the drivers of change and challenges that businesses face when making a mindset change.

Preparing for Success—The Three Pillars of Future-Ready Firms
Where should you be, based on the goals of your business? What changes to the profession are driving the need to rethink processes? What do you want your practice to look like in five years? With some best practices and firm examples providing context, we will introduce the three pillars for future-ready firms (people, planning and process), which sets the tone for the remainder of the summit.
Identifying the Gap
With an understanding of the current state of the firm, along with the context of what is going to be required of a future-ready firm, participants will be able to identify their own firm’s gaps between current and future state. These gaps will be documented during this session and can be referenced to identify best practice solutions for the subsequent three pillars sessions.

Get an engaging introduction to Lean Six Sigma process improvement strategies through an interactive LEGO® demonstration.

Are you working as efficiently as you could be? What challenges do you face in your audit workflow? We will discuss Lean Six Sigma concepts with an emphasis on eliminating the superfluous and focusing on what really matters most to your clients.
Pillar 2 – People
Do you have the right people in place today? Are you effectively developing them? We will explore the importance of focusing on the people in your audit business as a foundation for future success, and ultimately identify ways to optimize team member performance.
Pillar 3 – Planning
The importance of planning — from a firm audit practice standpoint, as well as on individual engagements — should not be underestimated. In this session, we’ll discuss:
- Optimal strategies to get your audit segment on the same page and committed to being future-ready
- Optimal strategies to get your engagement teams and clients on the same page, prior to both interim and year-end fieldwork on all client audit engagements

We’ll spend time working with you and facilitating the process of building out action plans for you to leverage upon your return to the office.
