AdvanceFlow iconThomson Reuters today announced that its AdvanceFlow cloud-based engagement management software has received a 2014 Technology Innovation Award from CPA Practice Advisor. The awards were presented on Monday, June 2 during a reception at the California Accounting and Business Show and Conference in Los Angeles.

This is the tenth Technology Innovation Award that Thomson Reuters has earned since CPA Practice Advisor’s awards program began in 2004. Now in their 11th year, the Innovation Awards honor new or recently enhanced technologies that benefit tax and accounting professionals and their clients through improved workflow, increased productivity, enhanced collaboration or other means. Award recipients are selected by CPA Practice Advisor’s editorial board and awards committee, which includes thought leaders and professionals from across the country.

AdvanceFlow is the first audit management application that combines the convenience of the cloud with enterprise-level processing power. The cloud-based architecture of AdvanceFlow puts the tools users need for complex audits at their fingertips. Designed for the largest professional audit firms, it makes engagements, workpapers, and colleague communications available securely in real time from anywhere. AdvanceFlow is built to complement the GoFileRoom platform that’s already used by most of the top accounting firms around the U.S.

“We are honored AdvanceFlow has been recognized with this prestigious award,” said Jon Baron, managing director of the professional segment in the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. “We pride ourselves on delivering the industry’s most innovative solutions for our customers, and winning the Technology Innovation Award is a validation of our efforts. This recognition also supports the direction we took many years ago toward online and mobile, where we have over 5,500 firms operating today.”
