Audit Summit 2022 presenters
Shawn O’Brien, CPA, is a senior consultant for Thomson Reuters / AuditWatch. He specializes in providing audit efficiency and quality, and core-level training for accounting firms.
Shawn was previously an Audit Senior Manager at Deloitte in Pittsburgh where he specialized in construction contractors, health care, not for profits, and middle market manufacturers. He also taught numerous local and national seminars for Deloitte. He began his career at E&Y.
Shawn graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting. He is a member of the AICPA.
Shawn O'Brien
Bill specializes in consulting with firms who are implementing the Thomson Reuters Cloud Audit Suite. He has over 6 years of experience providing onsite and web-based training and consulting to firms.
Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Bill spent 17 years in public accounting, primarily providing attest services to a wide variety of clients in various industries.
Bill has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Texas since 2002.

Stephanie D. Lanke, CPA is a senior consultant for Thomson Reuters. She specializes in providing training on current and upcoming accounting and auditing standards, audit efficiencies, and various level training to professional firms.
Stephanie spent the first 10 years of her career in public accounting where she worked for several local, regional, and national public accounting firms. She later joined Wolters Kluwer where she served for seven years as a senior audit consultant and three years as the customer experience manager for the company’s audit product suite. Most recently, Stephanie spent the last six years as the associate vice president for Finance and Controller at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where she was responsible for financial reporting, tax, budget, risk management, sponsored programs, and student financial services.
Stephanie graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in management information systems. She is a licensed certified public accountant in Indiana and a certified fraud examiner. She is also a member of the AICPA, Indiana CPA Society, Association for Certified Fraud Examiners, and currently serves as the president of the Indiana Association for College and University Business Officers.
