Oklahoma Changes On-Line Tax Filing System
If your company makes Oklahoma state income tax withholding deposits and files reports to the Oklahoma Tax Commission – such as for state tax withholding on taxable distributions and non-periodic payments from qualified retirement plans, life insurance products or commercial annuities – take note that the Commission has switched these on-line services from the QuickTax system to the OkTAP system (Oklahoma Taxpayer Access Point).
Before making the next deposit or quarterly filing, users must complete a new, one-time registration for OkTAP before logging in.
Registration requires the use to enter the 13-digit Oklahoma Tax Commission account number as well as the company’s federal EIN; then enter additional identifying information; then create a new logon ID and password.
Access OkTAP at http://www.tax.ok.gov/OkTAP.html.
