A spokesperson from Amazon.com Inc. stated Wednesday, that the company will start collecting Pennsylvania sales tax on orders that are shipped to the state.  This will begin 1 September 2012.  Previously, the online retail giant had refused to register to collect Pennsylvania’s 6 percent sales tax, claiming that did not hold nexus in that state.   The spokesperson said the company reversed itself because of a directive in Pennsylvania requiring it takes effect Saturday.
