As the summer months approach, states are beginning to gear up to help their citizens bear the cost of schools supplies by enacting savings on back to school expenses through sales tax holidays.
Florida is among the list of states that have passed legislation, including bills for back-to-school, hurricane preparedness and energy efficiency sales tax holidays. The hurricane preparedness sales tax holiday was passed on on May 5, 2014. Once the legislature presents the bill to the governor, he will have 15 days to sign the sales tax holiday into law.
