Some Fargo Stores are Applying the Wrong Sales Tax Rates

Make sure to check your receipt if you buy something in Fargo, North Dakota in the near future. The city’s auditor, Steve Sprague, says a few stores have reportedly lagged in updating their sales tax rate they are charging to 7.0%.  The city’s sales tax rate decreased to 7.0% from 7.5% effective 1 July 2012 and will be increasing back to 7.5% effective 1 January 2013.
