Indirect Tax, Sales and Use Tax March 23, 2011

The clock is ticking in Washington. The Department of Revenue issued a news release yesterday reminding delinquent taxpayers that time is running out to apply for tax amnesty. There are now less than four weeks remaining in which to submit an application to the State DOR for this temporary opportunity to pay back taxes without penalties or interest. All back taxes must be paid by April 30. According to the release more than 5,000 businesses have taken advantage of the program so far, generating more than $12.6 million for the state.
