4 Days, 500 tax professionals and 35 breakout sessions presented by dozens of industry leaders – together they’re a recipe for success at this week’s 62nd Midyear Conference in Washington, DC. Check out my video recap from the event.

The conference kicked off with an engaging general session led by keynote speaker and TEI International President, David M. Penny, General Motors of Canada Ltd and followed suite with great speakers from organizations like PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and Walmart. I got to sit in on two informative sessions focusing on investors’ perceptions of tax and the tax footnote: An Investor and Financial View of Tax and another on world class tax operations, appropriately titled: World Class Tax Department: What Does it Look Like?

Our final day started bright and early with a full house for our ONESOURCE Advisory Board meeting at 7 am. Dozens of customers joined us to discuss everything from integration to the best ways to use our products.

Hearing firsthand how we can make our customers and prospects more efficient tax organizations was priceless and we look forward to keeping you updated in our next round of We’re Listening updates. Look for us at other TEI events including the annual conferences and all of your local chapters later this year.
