Marilyn Jentzen, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for ONESOURCE Property Tax was named as one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women of Georgia by the National Diversity Council during the Georgia Leadership Conference, which was sponsored by Thomson Reuters in honor of Diversity month. Donna Brazile, noted political commentator, interim Chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2011 and the first African-American female to lead a presidential campaign was the keynote speaker for the event and was on hand to congratulate all the winners.
The National Diversity Council was started in 2004 by Dennis Kennedy. They have a mission to develop and enhance appreciation for the value of diversity and inclusion across corporations, community and business leaders, and through education and youth. There are 11 chapters across the United States, with Georgia being the newest chapter. Marilyn serves on the Board of Georgia Diversity Council. She is also spearheading the creation of a year-long Young Women’s Leadership Program in the Atlanta Public Schools which targets middle school girls to provide the support and resources they need to develop an education plan and attend college. The organization has partnered with other organizations such as Home Depot, Turner Broadcasting, American Red Cross, the Atlanta Dream and others to bring monthly programs and mentoring to girls across the Atlanta community.
