IRS has created a new website, irs.gov/coronavirus, that IRS says is “focused on steps to help taxpayers, businesses and others affected by the coronavirus” (COVID-19).

As of the time we went to press, this page only contains:

  1. References to IR 2020-54, 3/11/2020, and Notice 2020-15, 2020-14 IRB (see High deductible health plans can pay COVID-19 costs without deductible, cost sharing), which provide information regarding high-deductible health plans and coronavirus costs; and
  2. References to other IRS websites relevant to returns and tax payments, e.g., the IRS Free File website.

IRS has indicated that the new website will be updated as new information is available.
