This past week was spent with our Government software users from all over the United States. I am so encouraged each time I leave these events. This is now my ninth User Groups Conference and each year they get better and better. The collaboration between our clients, the engagement with our staff and the opportunity to forge new relationships and nurture existing ones provides for one of the most productive weeks of the year. And that doesn’t begin to touch on the great education schedule that was offered to attendees.
Of course, this year there was much talk regarding the change of GRM to Aumentum. I am encouraged by the feedback I received from our customers. The story behind the Aumentum brand change resonated with them – the idea that the name is based on our desire to serve them and allow them to increase and advance the services they are able to provide to the taxpayers. In talking with many of these public officials, they do see their role as vitally important to the success of their jurisdictions and that the decisions they make on a daily basis are impacting the communities in which they live. And they take great pride in this — and strive to achieve excellence in what they do. At Thomson Reuters we are proud that we are able to play a small part in the impact these dedicated public servants have on their communities.
Thank you to those of you who made the trip to San Diego and spent your time with us this week. And for those who were unable to make it this year, we are hopeful that you will make plans to be with us in 2014 for another fantastic week!
