This morning, our team in the Portage, MI office along with others across TRTA-Government, gathered in order to celebrate one of our own. Tammy Riggs was recently recognized by Women Engineer magazine for her efforts and career here at Thomson Reuters.
This is a great and well-deserved honor for Tammy. This is also a wonderful recognition of our entire engineering organization and the contributions they make every day to enable our customers’ achievements within their communities.
Back in February, the Tax & Accounting Public Relations team asked our technology leadership to recommend employees who would be good candidates to be profiled in a special report in Women Engineer magazine. Many women across TRTA were nominated by supervisors and colleagues, including a number of highly qualified women on the Government engineering team.
Out of these submissions, the magazine ultimately selected Tammy as the professional to highlight. The report, including Tammy’s profile, was published in the June edition of the magazine. Thanks to Tammy, the article nicely positions Thomson Reuters (and specifically Tax & Accounting and our Government segment) as a place that values employees, fosters innovation and uniquely balances an entrepreneurial spirit with the resources and opportunities of a large company.
I was honored this morning to be able to congratulate Tammy, present her with a plaque containing the article and also recognize the engineering team housed here in Michigan.
Please join me in congratulating Tammy on this achievement.
