At Thomson Reuters, we work hard to provide tools that streamline the audit workflow. We know that a constantly changing industry landscape and an ever-evolving regulatory environment can be a day-to-day challenge – making any level of simplification a welcome thing.

To that end, we made a significant update to select product names within the Cloud Audit Suite, aimed at enhancing clarity and understanding for our users.

As of today, August 1, AdvanceFlow is now known as Engagement Manager, and Checkpoint Engage is Guided Assurance in the product and supporting materials. This change reflects our ongoing commitment to evolving with the industry and making our tools as intuitive and accessible as possible.

Why the name change?

Our decision to update these names stems from a strategic initiative to align more closely with the functionality and purpose of our products, making it easier for professionals to quickly identify the solutions they need. The new names, Engagement Manager and Guided Assurance, are designed to be descriptive, reflecting the core capabilities and the value they offer.

Engagement Manager: Formerly known as AdvanceFlow, Engagement Manager is the most comprehensive, cloud-based engagement management tool for all types of engagements, including audit, accounting, and tax. It integrates full trial balance capabilities, work paper management, financial statement reporting functionality, and the ability to send and track all client communications.

Guided Assurance: Previously Checkpoint Engage, Guided Assurance provides an automated process that delivers in-application guidance precisely when it’s needed. This tool ensures that engagements comply with professional standards, leveraging over 40 years of content and methodology that have helped firms consistently pass peer review.

Seamless transition for current users

The renaming will not affect contract terms or access to content. AdvanceFlow and Checkpoint Engage users will see the new names, Engagement Manager and Guided Assurance, reflected in the product interface starting on August 1.
