Indirect Tax, ONESOURCE, Sales and Use Tax September 20, 2011

The voters in Little Rock, Arkansas were asked to approve two sales tax increases, making up a full penny increase.  The first proposal, passing with 54 percent approval, was a 5/8th sales tax increase to support city operations.  The other question, also with 54 percent approval, was a 3/8th sales tax increase for capital improvements, which would sunset in 2021.  The extra funds will go towards things like police and fire departments, new developments, and even the zoo.
