November Sales And Use Rate Changes

Indirect Tax, ONESOURCE, Sales and Use Tax October 26, 2011

As we enter the final quarter of the year we aren’t faced with a sizable amount of changes effective 1 November 2011. Many states are currently undoing legislative sessions where a plethora of changes are being discussed and voted upon for January 2012, so we should see those being published to state and local revenue websites as we move closer to the new year. In the meantime, here are some changes for November:

Rate Changes

Alabama – Jacksonville 2.5%; Jacksonville Police Jurisdiction 2.5%; Montevallo 4.0%; Spanish Fort Town Center District 4.0%, Trussville 4.0%
Oklahoma – Logan County 1.0%

Sales Tax Holiday

North Carolina – North Carolina is having a sales tax holiday for non-business purchases of qualifying energy star products from 4 November 2011 to 6 November 2011.
