Elena Hesse is the SMB Lead and acting VP/GM of myPay Solutions at Thomson Reuters. Prior to her current role, Elena held numerous positions within the sales organization leading teams to double-digit growth. During her tenure at Thomson Reuters, she has contributed her creativity, leadership, and passion in leading various business resource groups in support of diversity and inclusion. Elena co-founded the Women @ TR Michigan Chapter, serves as Executive Sponsor of the Veteran’s Network, co-leads the Diversity & Inclusion Council, is an active participant in the Thomson Reuters mentor program, and serves as a thought leader for #girlsclub, a women’s sales leadership organization.
Louie Calvin, Proposition Strategy Lead for Thomson Reuters, is responsible for understanding the tax and accounting market to help improve the software and services for customers. He focuses on real-world issues and challenges facing tax and accounting professionals and looks for ways to help them achieve productivity gains through the latest technology tools. In his current role, Louie helps manage roadmap planning, competitive intelligence, and product positioning. He’s spent more than 21 years helping tax and accounting firms with technical solutions, on-boarding new clients, and staff training. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Adrian College.
Michelle M. Layer, CPA
Michelle specializes in tax preparation for individuals and small businesses, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and tax research. Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Wisconsin – River Falls and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. Outside the office, Michelle loves spending time with family and friends, playing cribbage and cards, and going to the family cabin.
