Robert Buergenthal

Robert M. Buergenthal is the Sr. Director, International Strategy for the Government International group of Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting He provides thought leadership and guidance on cross-organizational operations and initiatives involving donor agencies, governments and strategic partners worldwide. Working closely with senior leadership, he works to optimize performance, expand business opportunities and attain customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Buergenthal served as CPO, with Landesa-Rural Development Institute; Director, Programs Management Department with the International Development Law Organization (IDLO); and Sr. Counsel for the World Bank Legal Vice Presidency. His international experience also includes leadership positions with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Buergenthal speaks Spanish and holds a B.A., (summa cum laude) from the University of Minnesota and a J.D, from the University of Minnesota Law School.
