TaxStream, Insource, Liquid Engines – Where Did You Go?

Best Practices, Compliance, Global Tax Compliance, ONESOURCE, Tax Provision, Transfer Pricing, US Income Tax Compliance, WorkFlow Manager April 12, 2012

They’re all on the ONESOURCE platform…sure their names may have changed, but the robust features and functionality is still here and it continues to grow and improve. Are they the same products that you knew five years ago when they had other names? Well is Patty the same as Dr. Patricia Smith or Jimmy the same as Prof. James Donaldson? Absolutely, the names have just changed to better convey what they are designed to solve: TaxStream is now ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Insource is now ONESOURCE Income Tax and Liquid Engines is now ONESOURCE State Apportionment.

When I implemented TaxStream v3.1 in 2000 it exceeded my expectations by being able to rollover my balances in a minute vs. a week and produced deferred reports that satisfied the auditors. At that time I couldn’t have imagined the concept that Sarbanes Oxley was going to take my ‘Cushion’ or FIN48 was going have me disclose my companies most sensitive data much less the concept of a cloud where my tax data could move freely and be able to be reused and repurposed with ease.

The best compliment we get is that many of our customers have been with us from our products early days and partnered with us to make them the products they are today. Each product alone was the best of breed solution for a specific tax departments’ need, but combined on the ONESOURCE platform is proving that the whole is far exceeding the sum of the parts. We are going to call them by their grown-up names, but we’ll always answer to the names of our youth.
