Case study
Glean, CPA
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, it was only natural for Luis Glean II, CPA, to become a business owner. Luis started his firm in 2017, doing taxes for friends and family. In 2021, he decided to take the leap and depart from his position at a Big Four accounting firm to dedicate himself full time to his practice. As he worked to grow his firm, he found himself working long hours while not bringing in the revenue he deserved. Luis recalls thinking, “This is going to take a lot for me to really build out and make a living if I don’t want to go back into the workforce.”
Luis realized he was underselling himself and lacked structure around his business model, so when he learned about Thomson Reuters Practice Forward, he decided to invest in his business and himself. “And I’m glad I did,” Luis says.
