The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires Applicable Large Employers (ALEs) to offer affordable health coverage to full-time employees beginning with tax year 2015.
ALEs must submit Form 1095-C to the IRS as documentation that they offered employees affordable
insurance coverage and to confirm ACA compliancy. Companies then provide employees with a copy of the Form 1095-C. Employees use the form when filing their annual taxes to show their employer offered affordable insurance coverage.
